Trust their hands
Dr Vittorio Gherardi
DDS DipImpDent RCS (Eng)
After completing his studies at the University of Ferrara (Italy), where he graduated with honours in 1998, Vittorio was attracted by the prospect of continuing his professional development abroad, one of the reasons being the lack of postgraduate courses in his own country. Before moving to the UK, in the summer of 2001 Vittorio was commissioned into the Italian Army Dental Corps, where he spent two years as an Assistant in Cranio-Mandibular Disorders in the Gnathology Department at the Medical Forensic Military Centre in Rome.
Once in London, Vittorio started practising general dentistry and developing his clinical skills. Since 2003, he has been in fully private practice in Islington and Clerkenwell, and towards the end of 2008 he felt he had gained a wealth of experience and had also developed a keen interest in restorative and implant dentistry. He earned the Certificate in Oral Implantology from the Tatum Institute in Birmingham in the summer of 2009. His knowledge and interest in Implant Dentistry has subsequently grown, and in 2011 he decided to enrol in the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England. He considers this latest postgraduate qualification (awarded in 2015) to be a starting point in his academic career, with the main aim of constantly raising the bar of his clinical standards. Vittorio recently launched his brand new practice at 31 Harley Street, where he welcomes his patients to a multidisciplinary specialist environment. His human approach and clinical empathy are uncommon in the world of dentistry.
